As summer heats up in Mukilteo, now’s the time to check your chimney’s readiness. Steves Brothers Chimney Inc is booking summer sweeps to help homeowners get ahead of fall’s damp weather and keep flues safe before the rainy season arrives.
Why Mukilteo homeowners should schedule a summer chimney sweep
Mukilteo’s coastal climate means moisture creeps into chimneys year-round, but summer’s dry spells are the easiest time to spot issues before winter rain returns. A clean, inspected flue prevents creosote buildup and water damage to masonry, common problems in older Mukilteo homes near the Sound. Book your summer sweep today to lock in availability before our fall schedule fills up. We’re licensed, insured, and offer free estimates for Mukilteo residents.
What to watch for before your Mukilteo chimney appointment
If your Mukilteo fireplace smells musty after rain or you notice white stains on the exterior bricks near the crown, these are signs of moisture intrusion. Cracked mortar or a rusted damper hinge? Those are red flags for coastal wear. See our seasonal prep guide for a full checklist. Don’t wait for a cold snap, schedule your inspection now to avoid emergency repairs later.
